3G Methodology is based on a score card called “3G Card”. From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be selected by a global poll
3G Card has five pillars:
Transparency — commitment to operate ethically and legally, with integrity, transparency and accountability.
Social Responsibility — promote best practices in social responsibility, economic viability, and environmental stewardship.
Sustainability — promote sustainable practices and initiatives that embrace
the triple bottom line: economics, social equity and environment.
Impact — initiatives or contributions resulted in improved outcomes to community or industry or country.
Innovation — development of new ideas, practices, or products that promote and/or improve business practices in the realm of governance.
In order to maintain the highest standards of integrity, nominations are subject to multiple levels of independent review by a Selection Committee consisting of eminent personalities drawn from Government, Industry and the Academia.
INTRODUCTIONGlobal Good Governance Awards “3G Awards” are presented to governments, corporates and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for excellence in transparency, good governance and social responsibility.
The 2016 Awards Ceremony is planned to take place in Istanbul,
Turkey, in May 2016.
From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be
selected by a global poll.

3G Best Performance Award for a Provincial/State Government
This award recognises remarkable improvements in performance in terms of increased efficiency, effectiveness, and operational as well as financial outcomes at the provincial/state government level.
3G Best Performance Award for a National/Federal Government
This award recognises remarkable improvements in performance in terms of increased efficiency, effectiveness, and operational as well as financial outcomes at the national/federal government level.
3G Leadership Award for Government & Politics
This award recognises and rewards outstanding government who has exhibited exceptional leadership in the area of governance in all 5 pillars – transparency, social responsibility, sustainability, impact and innovation.

3G Best Public Sector Initiative/Programme
The award recognises excellence in the delivery of public services through programmes to improve quality, cost-effectiveness or productivity of services to the public.
3G Politician of the Year Award
This award honors an individual who has made a significant impact in promoting ethical values and putting people and planet first.
3G Best Performance Award for a City Government
This award recognises remarkable improvements in performance in terms of increased efficiency, effectiveness, and operational as well as financial outcomes at the city government level.

The award celebrates inspirational individual or innovative project within the civil service that has transformed professionalism and promote good governance of public service.
3G Upcoming Personality in Government & Politics
This award is presented to an outstanding public sector official or politician who is a great advocate of transparency, governance and/or social responsibility.
3G Best Public Sector Reforms Programme
The award recognises excellent in public reform initiatives that has significantly improved the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

3G Best Governance Reporting Award
This award honors a public sector institution that has demonstrated strong commitment to good governance culture and open reporting including detailed overview of its performance and of its excellent approach to stakeholder management.
3G Social Media Award
This award recognises a public sector institution that has adopted social media in promoting good governance and transparency that can strengthen citizen goodwill.

Corporate Sector
3G CSR Award
This award honors organisation that has successfully integrated CSR issues into everyday business practices including the quality, consistency, robustness and clarity of the CSR programmes and reporting. Nominees will also be judged on the overall understanding of the short and long-term role the organisation plays in all the communities and environments in which it operates.
3G Leadership Award for Corporate Sector
This award recognises outstanding and ongoing achievements by an organisation in promoting all 5 pillars – transparency, social responsibility, sustainability, impact and innovation, in the realm of governance.

This award recognises organisation that has incorporated sustainable business practices into its core strategic and operational activities and achieved positive growth in its triple bottom line - people, planet and profit.

This award honors organisation that has demonstrated outstanding contribution in financial inclusion and undertaken initiatives to broaden access to finance.

This award recognises product or service that has created positive impact to societies while contributing positively to the organisation’s bottom line.
6.3G Corporate Governance Disclosure Award
This award recognises organisation that has demonstrated efforts in promoting corporate governance and raising the bar for corporate stewardship, as disclosed in its annual report.
3G Diversity Award
This award honours organisation that has made tangible steps to promote diversity including the establishment and implementation of diversity policies; and measurement and reporting on diversity goals.

This award recognises organisation’s efforts to incorporate the concept of environmental protection into its business operations and in imparting the best environmental responsibility practices.

3G Leadership Award for Social Sector & Philanthropy
This award honors excellence in the development of society through exceptional generosity and long-term commitment of time, expertise and financial or organizational support.

This award recognises non-profit organisation that has made substantial contribution to the educational, psychological, intellectual or physical growth of children.

This award will be given to non-profit organisation that has implemented programmes committed to women’s empowerment and welfare in terms of gender equality and economic improvements.
3G Advocacy Award
This award recognises one outstanding advocacy activity or programme created and implemented by a non-profit organisation with an emphasis on people and planet.

This award honors initiative for improving the quality of and access to education that enhances the well-being of people from all walks of life, and promote education as a lifelong process with sustainable and long term benefits.
