The History of Wireless Technology?

Wireless Communication

Wireless Communication provides constant communication between all landing doors and car door; creating a more reliable, truer, operation.

Wireless technology offers a 40-50% labor savings. Some markets are paying $150.00/team hour.

• How many landing doors wires are saved?– 2 per door motor– All hoistway door controller wires (typically 10 or

more)• How many wires are still needed?

– 2 for each controller for power– 4 for each interlock, wired at each floor

VVVF Drive

Variable Voltage, Variable Frequency (VVVF) Drive utilizing the latest inverter technology and motor protection.

Soft motor starting and stopping.

Overload, short circuit and grounding protection.

Closed Loop Feedback

Closed Loop Feedback uses true door positioning (TDP) eliminating the need for limit switches and sensors.

The doors remember their learned opening in the event of power failure and self adjust as chain stretches over time. No re-programming necessary, “set it and forget it”.

Connect & Play

The controllers come ready for use, just plug in the door hardware, turn

on the power and the controller is ready for use.

This offers another labor savings.

Self Learning Technology

Self Learning Technology determines the acceleration and deceleration rates for each door, creating a perfectly smooth operation.

This will improve the installation process as well as easily return the doors to service after a power failure.

Machine Room Less (MRL)

No need for bulky door controllers taking up valuable space in the Machine Room.

This is a consultant “Hot Button”.

Only 1 elevator professional is needed to trouble shoot at each landing.

This wireless door system requires less energy than traditional start / stop methods and requires less material for installation.

Smooth operation is quiet and improves life of equipment due to less slamming and reduced contact of mating parts.

Frequently Asked Question• Are any changes required to current hoistway

space requirements?– No

• What about possible wireless interference?– We haven’t experienced any interference issues.  There are many

different user selectable wireless channels to eliminate potential interference.

• How is Fire Service handled?– Fire service is controlled by the elevator controller. The Peelle

Wireless Controller operates in slave mode.

• Where is the controller mounted?– The controller can be mounted on return wall or side wall of the

hoistway; wherever is most convenient.

Frequently Asked Question• Card Readers

– The door controller does not interface with card readers.  This is handled by the elevator controller.  It is also very uncommon on freights.

• How are we addressing Battery Backup?– Same Reynolds & Reynolds backup interface Peelle offers today with

our other controllers. • What is the “wired” Peelle Wireless Controller

interface with the Elevator Controller?– From the car gate controller on top of the car.  MCE, JRT and

Northern Elevator have all chosen to interface to the car door controller via their own car top control module.
