Intel® Teach Elements Facilitation Options

The Elements facilitation model is different• Intel provides the core content in the e-learning course

• Intel owns Intellectual Property of the Elements eLearning course content and facilitation materials. Core content can not be changed.

• Intel provides a Facilitation Model, consisting of a printed Facilitation Guide and a sample Moodle course.

• Intel does not monitor facilitation, delivery, or materials that educators /organizations create or implement (no adaptation plan or approval process required):

– RTA, Districts, Education Agencies, individual teachers can:• Change the depth, length, facilitation content, certification, etc. to

meet the needs of their teachers– Licensed Education Agencies can:

• charge reasonable (normal and customary) fees • can embed the e-learning course in their own LMS

One Important Requirement:

They report the number of

teachers they train through the means you provide them.

How You may Provide Facilitation OptionsGeos may opt to offer one or both options; Educator/organization selects the option based on their course delivery design.

Option Description Minimum requirements geos must meet

Option 1: Intel provides a Facilitation Guide (PDF): educators access the e-learning course on Intel’s site or on CDs

Intel provides a print-ready guide that includes general facilitation strategies along with prompts for discussions, small group work, and sharing.

You must know who is using the Guide (capture information) and they must accept the Terms of Use.

Option 2: Intel provides materials for hosting in Licensees’ Web environments

This option is available to education agencies that offer professional development to K-12 teachers. The organization integrates the eLearning course into their Learning Management System or hosts on their education portal. They may also choose to build a facilitated course to host on their platform. Intel provides a location to download the e-learning course files and facilitation scripts. Intel also provides a link to a sample online course as an example to support the adaptation of the course on their platform.

You must have Paige Johnson-sign a License Agreement for each agency that will host the materials. Intel grants a two-year, renewable and royalty-free license for use of the facilitation materials and e-learning content.

Use the U.S. Process or Adapt your Own

The next 3 slides tell you about the Moodle Registration site used by the U.S. to provide the Terms of Use (Facilitation guide) / License Agreement (hosting), and provide access to the materials.

You may use this process

If you provide translated copy for a language version of the site, we will host/maintain it in our Moodle environment:• You provide and review the content• You must have a customer support solution to respond to questions and License

Agreement requests within 3 business days

Or, you may adapt your own process, as long as• You meet the minimum requirements on the previous slide• You have your local Legal representative review your process

The License Agreement is on the Education License Agreement Moss site – for single license agreements, use this site (you only need a process if you wish to offer the option to Education Agencies).

Intel® Teach Elements Facilitated

A facilitated experience builds professional learning communities around project-based learning with group discussions and sharing of ideas in action plans.

• Facilitation content is flexible: educators modify or add their own activities.

• Facilitated course format is a local design decision. They may deliver a facilitated course fully face-to-face, fully online, or as a hybrid.

• Length of a facilitated course is flexible and determined by the facilitator. Intel provides sample schedules to follow or adapt.

• Education Agencies are permitted to use this content and charge normal and reasonable fees for delivering the course, as long as participants receive continuing education credit, based on local requirements.

• Upon completion, Intel asks that facilitators report the number of teachers.
