programs in ICT, Engineering, Business and

Entrepreneurship.

Founded in 1970, RSS is the largest applied research

institution in Jordan with focus on scientific research

as well as commercial activities such as testing,

training, and certification.

Established in 1987, HCST is a policy making government body

responsible for building a science and technology base

in support of national development priorities.

Higher Council of Science and Technology, the national umbrella for all science & technology activities in Jordan

With so many gaps in the Jordanian Ecosystem, the talk of a national

innovation ecosystem was premature in 2003

iPARK sought to create an innovation and entrepreneurship enabling micro-

environment, bringing together capital, talent and support within a single

integrated network

Conclusion

Tackling in incomplete innovation ecosystem must take a holistic approach, tacking one blockage may create no impact at all

Creation of a “micro-environment” innovation ecosystem can provide significant impact on a national scale

A micro-environment can be a nucleus for a national functioning innovation ecosystem
