I. God Created Everything!

Genesis 1:1-2 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Isaiah 45:18 For this is what the Lord says-- he who created the heavens, he is God; he who

fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be

inhabited-- he says: "I am the Lord, and there is no other. (Isa 42:5, 45:12)

Matter, light, energy, water, atoms energized & force fields activated

Day 2, vs 6-8

Atmosphere, water, canopy, tremendous lifting action, various gasses

Day 3, vs 9-13

Land, oceans, seas occupy one bed, 100K species of plant life (according to its own kind)

Day 4, vs 14-19

Sun, moon, stars… star VY Canis Majoris can hold 7million billion earths

Day 5, vs 20-23Fish/birds, whales weight of 300,000lbs and humming birds weighing 1oz

Day 6, vs 24-31Insects and land animals… Also the “crown’ of God’s creation:

Man

Day 7, vs 2:1-3God ceased from His creative work

II. Only man was created in God’s “Image”

Genesis 1:26-27 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them

rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and

over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in his own

image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 2:7 7 the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his

nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

III. God’s Command and Adam’s Choice

Genesis 2:15-17 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

IV. God’s provision and promise of the future Redeemer

4000 years later, God sent His Son into the world

Galatians 4:4-5 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
