You are an eternal being…

Joel 2:11 The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the Lord is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

The Startling Future…

I. Jesus’ Literal return to earth: Jewish remnant believes (Zech 13:6)

Zechariah 14:3-4 3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of

battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great

valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

Zechariah 14:6-9 6 On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. 7 It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime--a day known to the Lord.

When evening comes, there will be light. 8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to

the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter. 9 The Lord will be king over

the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.

III. Satan released for the final purge of the wicked

Revelation 20:3 He threw him [Satan] into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from

deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for

a short time.

Revelation 20:7-10 7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out

to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number

they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the

camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the

devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet

had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

(Hell prepared for the Devil and his angels, Mt 25:41…And unbelief in Christ, John 3:16-18)

John 3:16-18 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-18 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

IV. The Great White Throne Judgment of the Unsaved

Revelation 20:11-15 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead [unsaved], great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death [body] and Hades [soul] gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

The earth and the sky fled away…

SIN = ETERNAL DEATH (Romans 6:23)

JESUS = ETERNAL LIFE

Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in

Christ Jesus our Lord.

V. Creation of New Heaven and Earth (Rev 21-22)

Revelation 21:1-2,5 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw

the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully

dressed for her husband… 5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!"

God’s Heavenly City: The New Jerusalem (Our eternal home)

• Spectacular Beauty – Golden Streets, tree of life, rainbow

• Enormous Size - 1500 mi x 1500 mi x 1500 mi


•Unbelievable Environment - No more’s…


•Righteous Occupants - Only overcomers in Christ


•Unimaginable Activities - Serve, Worship, Reign – Forever


•Presence of God


Revelation 21:3 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men,

and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God

Revelation 21:7, 20-21 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 20 "Yes, I

am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.
