In Memory: Nalita Maishaloa Adimu Nalita Maishaloa Adimu (1955-2011) was a founding member of the Student Unity Coalition, a member of the African Student Union at California State University, Hayward (now California State University, East Bay), and recently, a major contributor to efforts to revive the Black alumni chapter of California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) through the African-American Alumni Network at CSUEB. She is remembered for her early support of Barack Obama for President of the U.S., and her insistence upon progressive political action and awareness. She earned a degree in English from California State University, East Bay, worked at Pacific Bell Telephone Company as a customer service representative, and was a former member of the All African People’s Revolutionary Party, an African centered Pan African political party based in the Republic of Guinea. This issue The Journal of Pan African Studies is dedicated to the memory of Nalita, and all past and present members of the Student Unity Coalition and the African Student Union at California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California.
