Home News Shows imago to launch new industry research on future of face to face meetings at The Meetings Show
Category: Show Created on Monday, 01 June 2015 15:30
Research on The Future of Face to Face Meetings environment will be launched by imago at The Meetings Show next month as part of its education
programme.
Undertaken by imago in partnership with Loughborough University, this will be the industry's first opportunity to examine the research and its implications for
the meetings sector moving forward. The results will be presented on Wednesday July 8th in an open forum by the research team, which includes Emma
Boynton, head of sales and marketing at imago, and Sally Greenhill from The Right Solution.
Emma comments: “The research we have undertaken examines the importance and benefits of learning in a face to face environment and whether it can compete with other
forms of communication, particularly amongst tomorrow's business leaders. The results of this research will allow us, and other organisations, to build a better picture of the
economic market place to spot opportunities that are not being maximised or highlight areas of the market that are over saturated. We welcome everybody along to hear the
results and find out how face to face meetings play an important role in the way we conduct business.”
The Future of Face to Face Meetings Environment will take place on Wednesday July 8 at The Meetings Show, held at Olympia, London (3.50pm).
Based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, imago provides high quality meeting spaces, venues and accommodation along with excellent sports and leisure facilities.

Home News Venues & Events Celebrate Christmas in style with imago
Category: Venues & Events Created on Tuesday, 09 June 2015 14:30
imago has launched its Christmas party packages for 2015 as it seeks to continue the success of last year.
In 2014, the conference and events arm of Loughborough University experienced record sales for the Christmas period, with its flagship property – Burleigh
Court Hotel and Conference Centre- achieving double digit growth. Its programme of events for this year’s festive period aim to see this growth continue.
Burleigh Court offers a variety of Christmas party options, from Office Lunches and Disco Party Nights for business guests to Santa Sunday Lunches, Christmas Day Lunch
and a New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance for leisure guests. The Link Hotel will serve up a selection of Office Carvery Lunches and Disco Party Nights as well as a New Year’s
Eve Dinner.
But for businesses looking to go the extra mile for their festive celebrations, Holywell Park offers a spectacular backdrop. Catering for up to 450 people, the versatile space
offers exclusive use for large scale themed events such as circus themed parties, 70’s disco, Winter Wonderland and Westerns to a James Bond themed event, Masquerade
Ball and ‘Rockeoke’. In addition to the first-class facilities, organisations hiring Holywell Park can call on imago’s specialist event management team to plan their festivities
from conception to delivery.
Emma Boynton, head of sales and marketing at imago, comments: “imago has built a reputation for providing guests with a range of fabulous festive experiences, and this
year will be no different. Burleigh Court and The Link Hotel are always popular choices for Christmas gatherings. But Holywell Park provides an impressive setting which
never fails to impress. It is a great space with a fantastic atmosphere and being a blank canvas it can be themed into anything imaginable – the choice is endless! With a
fabulous choice of delicious cuisine and sparkling entertainment our portfolio of venues provide the perfect backdrop for any Christmas celebration. Our team of experts are
well known for delivering outstanding customer service and are on hand to take care of the finer details to guarantee an unforgettable experience. And with the added benefit
of on-site accommodation, imago is the perfect choice for any festive celebration. As we look to build on the success of last year, we look forward to welcoming guests old
and new through the doors of our venues this Christmas.”
Launched in 2003, imago unifies Loughborough University’s conference and events venues under one brand. It has received industry wide recognition for its services -
including achieving AIM Gold - the highest level of venue accreditation - and the facilities available at Loughborough University have been widely acknowledged as some of
the best academic facilities for meetings and events in the country.

highly versatile venue. More and more people are
discovering the benefits and we hope to see The Link’s
success continue.”
Meanwhile, with a couple of months’ to go until opening,
the Vox conference centre, located in Resorts World
Birmingham (pictured), has announced that it is over
half way to achieving its first year rental target and on
track for a successful year in stand-alone banqueting.
Able to accommodate any type of event – from a small meetings to a banquet
for 850 or a conference for 900 delegates – the Vox has been designed with five
fully flexible halls. This week has seen the installation of sky fold walls.
Vox sales director James Elston says: “The sky fold walls are a fantastic
investment as it means we can completely change the size of a room in just 15
minutes, doubling, tripling or halving capacity to suit the clients’ needs. Due to
the technology used, the walls are tucked away neatly in the ceiling so they are
not only giving the room a seamless appearance but they are not taking up
valuable floor space either.”
“We have been giving hard hat tours to potential clients, but it’s difficult for
people to visualise just how spectacular the space is going to be when it has
essentially been a building site. But now we’re reaching the closing stages the
venue is really taking shape and clients can see how fantastic it will be for their
event. We’re extremely pleased with what we’ve achieved against budget so far
and are confident that once the venue is completed and people can see it in all
its glory our bookings will exceed the budget further.”
