Mathematics Quiz -2013 (School Level) Organizing Mathematics Quiz is way to arouse the interest in the subject, a
competition among students and for talent search. So it will be in the interest of the
students to organize Maths Quiz and enhance their mental abilities.
1 Learning Mathematics is not remembering solution or methods but
knowing how to solve problems.
2 Organizing. Math’s Quiz will give opportunities to create or formulate
problem themselves and enhance their understanding of concepts and
principles of mathematics.
3 This gives students an opportunity to reply quickly.
4 Mass participation, the whole class will participate and each one will
have chances to ask question or answer question.
5 The whole class will be divided in to four groups each will have almost
same level group i.e. same number of fast learners and slow learners. A
competitive spirit will be developed among students.
6 To make it more interesting Math’s Tombola, Math’s Cross word puzzles
could be created.
7 When all students will become active participants in construction of new
knowledge rather than being passive receivers.
8 This will be a part of assessment of their teaching and know about the
achievement of the students.
9 The feedback based on the analysis of the students’ responses may help
teachers in further improving their quality of classroom instructions.
10 Some questions are expected to challenge the understanding of the
concepts of mathematics of the students and their ability in applying
them to novel solutions.
11 The problems will be arranged with different difficulty level to assess
and improve the teaching learning process in the classroom.
