loan proGraM

IESE and one of Europe’s leading banks –Banco Sabadell– have an agreement by which IESE MBA students can finance their studies with loans that may not require a personal guarantee. This loan is further proof of the commitment between IESE and Sabadell to promote the quality of management around the globe, thus ensuring there is no financial barrier for any exceptional individual who has the potential to become a world-class manager.

tuition only

The global loan covers up to 80 percent of tuition fees, including the deposit of €9,500. It does not cover accommodation or travel expenses.

Global loan conditions

The loan is available to applicants who have received written confirmation of acceptance into the program and have paid the tuition deposit.

During the MBA, students will only pay interest on the loan.

According to recent Spanish regulations, anyone receiving a loan in Spain must have a fiscal identification number (NIF/NIE). The Admissions Manager of the program will assist you with the documentation required to obtain the NIE and the loan.

The final decision on awarding the loan rests entirely with the bank. Signing the loan will take place during Residential Module 1. The loan, life insurance and PPI contracts will be signed in English.

The bank will transfer the funds to IESE after the loan signing, in accordance with the IESE MBA schedule.

Sabadell reserves the right to deny any loan application in accordance with IESE Business School should there be evidence of misconduct or financial distress in the applicant’s history.

lifE insurancE & banK GuarantEE

All students are required to take out a life insurance policy. Details will be provided before signing the contract.

The bank guarantee is a joint commitment for payment of the loan that gives credit in favor of Sabadell when the student does not meet debt payments. The bank guarantee must be obtained from the student’s bank in his/her home country for the full amount of the loan, in addition to the expenses attached to the loan. The bank can require a bank guarentee in some cases.

prEMiuM & ExpEnsEs

Insurance and expenses pertaining to the loan must be paid in one installment when signing the loan contract and will be included in the amount to be financed.
