"ICT“ is the Information and Communication Technologies. "ICT in Education" means "Teaching and Learning with ICT". Educational ICT tools can be divided into 3 categories: Input source, Output source and Others

What is ICT in Education?

Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to improved student learning and better teaching methods. A report made by the National Institute of Multimedia Education in Japan, proved that an  increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration has a significant and positive impact on student achievement, especially in terms of "Knowledge Comprehension" · "Practical skill"  and "Presentation skill" in subject areas such as mathematics, science, and social study.

Through ICT, images can easily be used in teaching and improving the retentive memory of students.

2‧Through ICT, teachers can easily explain complex instructions and ensure students' comprehension.

3‧Through ICT, teachers are able to create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable, which could improve student attendance and concentration.

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) education is basically our society’s efforts to teach its current and emerging citizens valuable knowledge and skills around computing and communications devices, software that operates them, applications that run on them and systems that are built with them

Why is ICT Important ?

ICT is complex and quickly changing, and it is confusing for many people. It is so pervasive in the modern world that everyone has some understanding of it, but those understandings are often wildly divergent

Why is ICT Important?

The Internet is not widely available in most LDCs; radio and TV 

Radio and TV can have high start-up costs, and reinforce existing pedagogical styles.

Radio instruction has been used widely and is reasonably well studied

TV has been used with success in a few places

What are used in ICT for Educational Development?

Mobile Internet centers (vans, etc.) are being deployed as a way to reach rural areas

Community telecenters are a hot topic, but successful, replicable models have not yet emerged
