Noise pollution has many adverse affects on humans, including stress-related illnesses, hearing loss, sleep disruption, speech interference and loss of productivity. Perhaps the most acute problem associated with noise pollution is the hearing loss it can cause after long-term exposure. Affecting the eardrums, noise pollution can cause permanent damage when present for a prolonged period of time.
