We flew from Wichita to Houston to Frankfurt, Germany to Budapest, Hungary.

Our luggage was lost en route. It was delivered on Christmas morning so that was a great present in addition to these!!

“Shelf” milk—it is found on the shelf, does not need refrigeration until you open it. It is pasteurized by Ultra High Temperature. Aseptic packaging assures that it is free of bacteria and hermetically seals it (air tight) thus eliminating the bacteria, air and light which will cause milk to sour.

All the house are fenced and the gates are locked. I was fascinated by the different styles of fencing (as you can see by the next few slides).

This is the house Meredith lives in (taken earlier in the year since you see the green vines). Notice the doorbell on the outside of the fence.

Many of the streets are very narrow.

Budapest Opera House where we saw and heard the Nutcracker Ballet. The orchestra, dancing and sets were AWESOME! Two harps in the orchestra.

We walked across the Danube River on the Chain Bridge.

We rode the Funicular up the hill to the Buda side of the Danube. Buda and Pest were 2 separate cities until they united in 1873.
