2009 IN REVIEWWell there can be no doubt that 2009 was a tough year for all business around the world and in particular the Yachting Business. Even so, Moran Yacht & Ship continued to prosper and expand our business and client base.

In 2009 Moran Yacht & Ship delivered a number of major yachts that included the following vessels:

• MADSUMMER78.4m (257 Ft.) Lürssen

• NORTHERN STAR II75.3m (248 Ft.) Lürssen

• LADY KATHRYN IV50m (164 Ft.) Westport

• ONENESS 46m (150 Ft.) Palmer Johnson

• VITAMIN40m (128 Ft.) Palmer Johnson

In addition Moran Yacht & Ship sold a number of significant vessels that included the following yachts:

• FIREBIRD86.1m (282 Ft.) Lürssen

• CAPRI58.5m (192 Ft.) Lürssen

The New Construction business has also suffered a very difficult year. With only three new construction projects over 200 Ft. in length (61 meter) signed throughout the complete world in 2009, Moran Yacht & Ship managed to sell one of these three projects; the 68 meter (224 Ft.) Amels GARCON.

Even though the charter market was also challenging, Moran Yacht & Ship managed to keep all of the yachts that are members of our significant charter fleet, extremely busy, with 72 weeks of in house charters being placed onboard our vessels. Which once again demonstrates the in house determination of the Moran Yacht & Ship team to “Feed First the vessels that we represent.”

In reflection, the above stated results were “Not Bad” for a tough year.

2010 AND BEYONDSo what for the prospects for Moran Yacht & Ship in 2010? We expect 2010 to be another difficult year for the Yachting business in general, but it will once again be a good year for Moran Yacht & ship. There can be no doubt that the opening of our Moscow office, located downtown Moscow in a perfect location very close to the Kremlin, was an inspired decision. Moran Yacht & Ship will open an European office this winter. With 60% of our business being originated in Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland the Middle East and SE Asia, this European office will be necessary to service the needs of our clients on a worldwide basis, while at the same time operating in our proven low fixed cost business plan environment.

Moran Yacht & Ship will also deliver four Major yachts in 2010:

• PHOENIX II88m (288 Ft.) Lürssen

• MARELENA69m (226 Ft.) Lürssen

• ATLANTIS49m (160 Ft.) Hakvoort

• IRINA52m (172 Ft.) Palmer Johnson

With 14 Major Yachts under construction through November 2014 with a total building cost of over ONE BILLION US DOLLARS, and two large new construction projects in excess of 100 meters ( 334 Ft.), that will be contracted in 2010, Moran Yacht & Ship will continue to be without doubt the World Leader in the sale, construction and charter of Quality built yachts. Many companies attempt to make this claim, but only Moran Yacht & Ship year after year back up such a claim with proven results.
