How to understand and write CVs
CV is like an appetizer
• Content• Presentation
Based on the appetizer you can say what kind of restaurant you
are in
Exercise no. 1
Write down on your paper, what message you want to give to the reader with your
CV.
Great appetizer invites you to eat more, because it is delicious
It cannot make you neither hungry nor full.
Find the Zen of your CV
Not too rich nor empty.
Exercise no. 2
Based on previous exercise think about content and
presentation to give desired message.
Cooking your CV
• Be relevant• What have you
achieved or done– Quantify– Be specific– Always truthful
• Express yourself– Personality
• No misspellings
Plating you CV
• Reflect the job position
• Less is more• Creative• Unique

CV screening – evaluate 2 other peers and their CV (30
seconds per CV)
My cooking tips
• Different tastes = different CVs
• Appetizers are being served quickly = Be always ready (backup version of CV in Gmail, Dropbox...)
• Update CV continuously
