In each case, the obligation to attend Sunday liturgy is dispensed. Mass intentions are, of course, rescheduled. Before ven-turing out, it is always wise to call

The Epiphany of the Lord An “epiphany” is a revelation. Every day, God uses religious
sisters, religious brothers and priests to reveal His great love for the people He has chosen to be His own. Is the Lord calling you to serve the Church through a religious vocation? If you think so, call or write Fr. Norm Carroll, Diocesan Director of Priestly and Religious Vocations (302-573-3113; [email protected]). And check out our website: www.cdow.org/vocations!
Copartner means equal in dignity and decision making. Being a mem-ber of the same body means that we are in
this life together. What happens to one of us,
impacts the other.
PARENTING POINTERS
Sunday January 6:
January 6 is the Feast of the Epiphany when Chris-tians celebrate the 3 kings, who had been following a star and found the baby, Jesus. Celebrate this with your children by simply
walking outside and marvel at the stars. Seek

“Books for the Veterans at the
VA,”
This is a new initi-ative by the VA,
and supported by the Knights of
Columbus, trying to break the boredom at the VA hospital in Elsmere. This Initiative is an opportunity
to get rid of reading books and give them to the Volunteer Services Department at the VA Hospital.
The donated books are then placed on bookshelves or taken room by room to the Veteran's free of charge!
It is a new mission, a new program. It is a mission by Volunteer Services Department to break the boredom in the Hospital, break the boredom of Hurry Up and Wait. Patients and their families arrive at the hospital for various testing and meetings or interviews and arrive early just to wait. This is a great oppor-tunity to donate , clear the shelves of books in your home, garage, attic, basement and donate to the VA hospital for the patients, veterans and their families. The Initiative will put books in the hands of Veterans and family while they are in the hospital waiting for service by any department.
What is required? You clear the bookshelves in the home, check the basement and garage for books and take the reading materials to the VA Hospital in Elsmere.. Just take the books to room 189, right by the Chapel on the lower floor. Enter via the West Wing near Valet Parking. This initiative supporting veterans and the VA does not cost the individual or group The only associated cost would be the cost of gas and the value of personal time gathering and taking the books to the VA in Elsmere.
If you are donating the books as a member of or in the name of the Knights, please request and fill out an , “IN KIND,” form.(room 189)
