Check the shop bulletin board for other events in the area Lunch and Museum Visit Ladies of Harley are meeting at Aunt Hattie's Tea Room, 1810 W. Douglas for lunch. Aunt Hattie’s sounds like a quaint and fun place with a terrific menu. Meet us there at 11:00 am and we'll be their first diners of the day!. After that we'll go to the Wichita Art Museum, 1400 W. Museum Blvd. The Dale Chihuly exhibit in the entry way is worth the trip in itself - and we will have our own Guide to show us the Museum highlights along with the Civil War exhibit currently showing. For head count sake - would appreciate a call anytime before March 7th if you can join the fun. LOH Kansas State HOG Rally The Kansas State HOG Rally is scheduled for June 23rd thru 26th in Topeka, Kansas. The host hotel is full, but there are other nearby hotels with rooms. Registration forms will be available the first of March. There will also be online registration for the first time this year. Deadline for pre-registration is May 5th. Get more information at the rally website: www.ksstatehogrally.com March Monthly Ride This will be the first monthly ride of the year, weather permitting. We will gather at the south K-mart at 47th street south and Broadway. Meet on the north side of the building.At noon Joe Hopkins will take us on a ride down through Latham, Kansas on the way to Winfield, Kansas where we will have a late lunch or early dinner at Calaways around 2:00 pm. Plan on joining the group for the first ride of the season so we can Ride and Have Fun. How Cold Is It? For those who ride in the winter, it can’t be stressed enough to dress warmly. Hypothermia is a silent enemy that sneaks up on you when the sun starts to set and the temperature drops. Dressing in layers is the best way to handle varying temperatures. Below is a chart that can determine the wind chill. If you are riding at 50 MPH and the temperature is 40 degrees, the wind chill factor is 9.3 degrees.
