In just one-year time, I joined various extra-curricular activities provided to students and further explore myself through the experiences. This summer, I joined a Summer Exchange Programme to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where I met many people from different cultural background. The experience not only gave me textbook knowledge, but also enhanced my cultural intelligence necessary for effective interaction with people from diverse culture. Having the interest in Entrepreneurship, I joined the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp jointly organized by HKBU and UC Berkeley. It is a great chance for students from the two universities to connect and I learned a lot when designing a business plan with them. The camp strengthened my entrepreneurial spirit and I was lucky to win a ticket to join the Bootcamp held in UC Berkeley. I am also the School of Business Student Ambassador. The scheme provides me various training and exclusive opportunities to stand onstage, greet guests as a representative of the school. I am now better equipped to be a competitive business executive in the future. Studying at the Hong Kong Baptist University is a unique journey. As a BBA Accounting major student, I have chances to enhance my business exposure by participating in different business case competitions and connect with my classmates to make time for what we truly value. HKBU does more than providing me a first-class education, it provides me the opportunities to try new things and to meet interesting people as well. Besides, my spare time has predominantly been taken up with the volunteer activities that are provided by the HKBU Social Service Association and Hong Kong Tzu-Chi Association. I have been involved in different community services like street visits, fund-raising events and blood donation campaigns. Participating in such activities gave me a great insight into how many simple initiatives can transform lives. Currently, I am attending a student exchange program at the University of Leeds, U.K. Student exchange has been a life changing experience that made me realize I can do much more than I ever thought was possible. I met new friends, learned new knowledge, and I am looking forward to what comes next. Thanks to HKBU for giving me this chance to experience Leeds, it is something I will treasure forever.
