Color Run
Join the Maine South chapter of the National Honor Societyfor our fifth 'Color Run' to raise money for the schoolwide
fundraiser. The purpose of our run/walk is to bring the schooland the Maine South community together for some fun, to buildbridges to the community, and to support the recipient charity -which for 2019 is the Dup15q Alliance. All ages are welcome!

MTA's Helen Dobbins Scholarship ($1,000): for students whoare planning to major in education; Deadline = April 18th
The Chris Harris Senior Scholarship Award ($1,000): forstudents who a) possess a zest for life; b) show a concern for
the environment; and c) have a willingness to helpothers; Deadline = April 22, 2019
The Ken Reese Senior Service Award ($1,000): for studentswho a) reflect a high level of involvement in school activities;
b) demonstrate good character; and c) show potential foracademic success (overall 2.0 GPA or higher
required); Deadline = April 22, 2019
The Hawk Booster Scholarship (award amounts TBD): forstudents who a) have a minimum 2.0 GPA; b) are a senior
athlete in a Varsity or JV sport, student athletic trainer, teammanager, or former athlete who provides extraordinary
assistance; and c) have a family paid membership to the Maine
South Hawk Boosters; Deadline = April 25, 2019
The Brett J. Harman Endowment Fund (award amount TBD):candidates must be Maine South wrestling team members who
demonstrate such characteristics as courage, leadership, strongwork ethic, loyalty, etc. and have a minimum 2.5
GPA; Deadline = April 29, 2019
The Thomas Ziemek Memorial Scholarship (award amountTBD): candidates must be Maine South wrestling and/or
football team members who demonstrate sound character,commitment, leadership and achievement as a
student/athlete; Deadline = April 29, 2019
2nd Chance-The Chance Cole Walker Foundation ($500-$2,500): applicant will have a valid IEP or 504 Plan on
record; deadline = May 3, 2019
The Park Ridge Kiwanis Club (Noon) Scholarship ($750): Park Ridge resident and/or attends Maine East or
Maine South; deadline = May 3, 2019
