July's Third Thursday lecture will be presented by the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park Rangers. The talk will be an extended version of the daily 10 AM and 2 PM eruption updates they have been giving at Mokupapapa. Since many of us work during the day and can not attend we wanted to provide an evening opportunity to hear their fascinating stories of eruptions on Hawai'i Island past and present. They will show photos from previous eruptions and explore our island using some of the latest technology in teaching equipment called Liquid Galaxy. It's like Google Earth on steroids. You can ask questions and get answers from people that still live by and have worked at the park for many years.
