MAGAZINE PROPOSAL

The title I have chosen for my publication is ‘Rhythmz’, I have chosen this title as it links to my chosen genre which is R&B and

hip hop, also the title Rhythmz is a short catchy word, which really grabs attention of audiences and is a word which is most

likely to stick in their minds.

I have chosen the genre of R&B as I have realised it is much easier for me to do since my previous case studies were based and R&B and hip hop music, another reason for choosing this

genre of R&B and hip hop is because I can easily adapt the hip hop style for my models costumes.

TITLE AND MUSIC GENRE.

I ’am planning on doing my double page spread on a solo artist just starting out, and will include their story and about how they managed to

get their music out. I will use a question and answer method by asking her questions about her music.

I will also include features on my contents page such as images of the main artist, as well as other artists the magazine will feature, in addition

to this I'm thinking of including a masthead, pull out quotes, barcodes, and issue number all of these typical conventions will be included on the cover

of my magazine.

What makes my magazine different to others is that my magazine will include more than one double page spread, instead it will have many and won’t just be based on one artists but many others so everyone can find

their favourite and read about them.

I’ve also chosen my colour scheme for my magazine, which will be consist of four colours; black, white red and blue. I will be using different font

styles, some text will be bigger and bolder compared to others.

CONTENT;

Some typical features my magazine will include; Artists such as Jay z, Rihanna, Chris brown, etc., A double page spread instead with images of the artists, Skyline to provide extra information easily, A free gift with the magazine, preferably a CD Website links Central images and smaller images.

FEATURES OF THE MAGAZINE

These are the fonts that have interested me, that I like to add for my mast head, however I'm only able to pick one, I have taken these fonts from Microsoft word and

are all in the font size of 20

Here are a few magazines that inspired my the ideas for my magazine;

I would like ‘Bauer media to publish/distribute my magazine as they know a lot about RnB and hip so I know my magazine would be in good hands, as well as

this they have vast content that it deals with such as photos, movies, videos and blogs, etc., as well as this it is based in the UK, they only have a few magazines

and out, not many RnB ones, so publishing my RnB magazine will be a big achievement for them, especially if my magazine does well.

I think that my magazine will bring fresh ideas to Bauer magazine , it will give Bauer magazine a new wider range of audience, as they haven't done many RnB

magazines and this will give them more RnB fans, meaning more people buy magazines published by them and they get an increase in their profit.

PUBLISHER

The target audience, or people my magazine will be young adults who are Interested in RnB and hip hop, or even new upcoming artists, my magazine will both be targeting men and women, as they can both be interested in hip hop.

Most of my target audience or consumers of my magazine will enjoy listening to hip hop.

My magazine wont be aimed at the very wealthy people in the world, but the working class, as it wont be very expensive, just around £3.00
