When Ken Snow was in college, he had every

intention of becoming a CPA, but life has a way

of taking unexpected turns. While toiling away

as a student, he started working for Hagopian

as a carpet cleaner, eventually working his way

up the proverbial ladder. He later became a

dispatcher and then the company's cleaning

manager before he was appointed Services

Operations Manager. A decade or so ago,

"Hagopian separated entities within the

company to give each division a clearer focus,"

said Ken. That's when he became President of

said Ken, noting the rise in interest among

customers who already use Hagopian for their

customer's homes and businesses. "We work

seven days a week," Ken said, "and Saturdays

are one of our busiest days. Our willingness to

work weekends makes it easier for our clients

that work all week" While some cleaning

businesses charge extra for weekend services,

Ken said Hagopian Cleaning Services does not:

weekend rates are the same as week day rates.

As Ken pointed out, cleaning crews hardly arrive

at the client's home empty-handed: they are

equipped with a $60,000 mobile cleaning plant.

Once the process of cleaning begins, "Different

tools and solutions are required depending on

the type of carpet, floor or upholstery, but the

cleaning units that are built into our vans have

everything we need to care for all furnishings. "

RUG CARE Any type of rug is

a candidate for the

"Rug Spa", Hagopian's

undergo a "controlled

wash and dry process

using a system designed

to wash rugs, then dry

them in a temperature­

controlled room. Rugs are

cleaned at the rug spa

because it's too hard, if

not impossible, to clean

fringe in the home, and

clean them with our Rug

Care Spa processes. "We

also offer our customers

a substantial discount when they drop their rugs

off to us for cleaning. We have five convenient rug

care drop-off centers in Oak Park, Birmingham,

Novi, Utica & Ann Arbor" said Ken. For those who

prefer to have their rugs picked up and delivered,

Hagopian offers that as well.

WATER AND FIRE RESTORATION There are times when homeowners find themselves

in an emergency situation due to damage from fire

or flood. When they do, Hagopian's Emergency

Service Technicians are available to respond 24 hours

a day, seven days a week. "It's not uncommon in

April or May, after heavy rains, for water to leak into

a house or basement, causing damage to carpet or

rugs," Ken said.
