We love everything related with Christmas: Christmas lights, Christmas decorations, Christmas pudding.......

We wish you enjoy the Cristmas decoration made for all of you.

We want to tell you a story about GLOGS, a typical shoe many years ago in Cantabria.

Once upon a time, a cold day in autum my sister and me were in the living room with our grandad Ramón.

It was so cold that we couldn’t go to the park to play.

So, grandad told us this story…:

" When I was a little boy it was so raining that all the fields and paths in Suances were completely mudy. We had to wear GLOGS to go to school. Do you know what’s this? - No, we don’t.

GLOGS- said Ramón - are wooden shoes, with studs on the bottom. Sometimes, a pair of slippers or socks are placed to keep warm feet. They are very useful.

Look around, he said, showing some GLOGS he had in a closet.

Even today they are still used in some villages and valleys of Cantabria for farmers who tend their herds of cows. They are also used in some regional parties in Cantabria where people get their costumes and shoes with them.

-And, who makes them, grandad? asked my sister.

- Good question, dear. Expert people in carving wood. I have some photos .

And my sister and I had a great time with our grandad and his GLOGS.

And that’s the end.

-I want to try them on, " can I? - Said my sister. Me too, Grandad.- Sure, I’ll help you.
