CHAMBER OF COMMERCE The Chamber office is busy planning spring and summer events for 2016. The calendar continues to include more events, meetings and activities for Glas- gow and Valley County. The office now has the new Montana Vacation Guides, maps of individual states in the U.S and Canada, and regional & state calendars of events. We will also assist you with the planning of meetings and conventions in our area. Your chamber board, staff, and committees are now in full gear planning our yearly events. Thank you to everyone who came out to see the Johnny Holm Band on Janu- ary 8! They rocked the house and everyone had a great time. Our Community support is outstanding! The Glasgow Downtown Association, formerly the merchants committee, held their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, January 26. This revamped commit- tee plans on implementing The Revitalization Plan proposed by Land Solutions in 2015. Two Rivers Economic Growth, The City of Glasgow, The Chamber, downtown business owners and representatives and members of the commu- nity have partnered to make this plan a reality! The GDA will have their next meeting on February 23 at 5:45 at the Busted Knuckle Brewery. We are wel- coming anyone and everyone who is dedicated to fostering development, re- vitalization and beautification of historic downtown Glasgow. I would also like to thank each and every one of you for reinvesting in the Chamber through your dues renewals. The strength and success of the Chamber depends on you. We will be printing 2,000 – 3,000 copies of our 2016/2017 business directory at the beginning of May. These will go out for all inquiries and in all of our convention packets. The directory also has a city map on it with area events. In closing I would like to say, embrace the renewal and growth season with the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture and get involved in “YOUR” community. Enjoy the weather and the promise of a great summer season.
