Short StoryOnce upon a time lived a man named Spartacus, one day he decided to join
the army, but only after a short time he ran away. When he was caught, he was sold into slavery to work as a gladiator. When men such as Spartacus were not fighting, they were locked up in the gladiator school, to make sure they did not escape.
Spartacus did just that - he escaped. Around seventy other gladiators escaped with him. They found a wagon full of gladiator weapons. They stole those, too. They camped on Mount Vesuvius.
Rome sent an army to capture the runaway slaves. The Roman army was defeated. Rome retaliated with twice the amount of solders but Spartacus and his army defeated them again.
Catching Spartacus was not easy. Spartacus and his followers spent their first winter with plenty of good food that they stole from the surrounding countryside. They prepared for battle. The gladiators taught others how to fight like a gladiator.
Spartacus and his followers were hunted for two years. They defeated every effort to capture them. When Rome finally caught up with him, they killed Spartacus and everyone with him.
(“Gladiator”)
What is a Gladiator? An armed combatant who
entertained audiences in the Roman Republic and Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals.
Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their legal and social standing and their lives by appearing in the arena.
Most were despised as slaves, schooled under harsh conditions, socially marginalized, and segregated even in death
(“ONA”)
Where They Came From Gladiators were the
insignificant outsiders and the lowest rank of Roman society. Criminals, captives of war, religious dissidents, the poor and destitute and disobedient slaves in possession of a strong body and resourceful mind could well have found themselves being sold to the gladiatorial school.
The most popular Gladiators came from the Roman Empire.

Definition of a Good Gladiator
A gladiator should never ask for mercy, nor cry out.
A "good death" redeemed a defeated gladiator from the dishonorable weakness and passivity
the courage not to seek to avoid the inevitable
Offers his throat to his opponent and directs the wavering blade to the vital spot.

PoemIn to the arena a world apart, Roaring past that chariot cart,
This is war were legends are named, To the death or go down in flames. Two men enter one man leaves, Fight to the death for all to see,
Crowd shout for blood ain't no remorse, Armed to the death with brutal force!
Into the games lions come out, Held in chains there must be doubt? Crowd shout out that sudden roar,
Blood and guts they all adore.Chariots engage warriors clash, Who will survive the gods ask?
To the end emperor calls, Sword goes in another one falls. Now is the time he cant defend,
This is the place were warriors attend

Oh My love which I wish to see I miss you so much. Your training just begun and I wish to see you some day long. I fear for your life. Why wont you leave and be with me. You don’t have to fight. I have seen the beauty inside of you and I want you to always live for me. I have found out that I am pregnant with your beloved child and I know he will have eyes like yours. Where’s your heart? You don’t have to do this. I would not live if you were to be beheading in front of all of Rome. My beloved I love you more than you ever know, and I trust that you will be safe forever. Dear Anonymous Gladiator seeking Gentleman,
We are unable to grant you the opportunity to become a gladiator. You are weak and lack skills of a true gladiator. Please use your money to invest in the games because you will not be able to participate in the games right not. You are welcome to come back next year. But I will advise you not to. You will not make no matter how much you train. You have to be the most wimpy kid I’ve ever seen . Enjoy your life young man you will appreciate this letter someday.

How About the Audience….

(“Rome”)
The attitude of many Romans, even men of the highest culture, towards the arena was flawed and inhumane--or, if disapproving, not disapproving enough ...
Most started to like the sport.
Why are there Gladiators
Theory? Or Fact? It was all about a source of entertainmentThe Romans thought of it as a sport. The Politicians made it a way to get well-known, If
their gladiator won he gains publicity, therefore he becomes wealthier.
And Then It Falls!!!! The Gladiator games of ancient Rome began their decline through
the influence of Roman Emperor Constantine I. The rise of Christianity Less popular because of
Religious beliefs
