• Run by the Gifted Children’s Advancement Charitable Trust

• Founded by Christine Fernyhough and Craig Anderson (Books in Homes) in 2000.

Providing – • Day-school programme for gifted children in 8 units

around NZ – 450 students• Professional development for teachers• Support for schools to develop their own Gifted

What do we mean by gifted?

Gifted kids ...

• learn faster and think differently.

• are way ahead of others the same age in some or many areas.

• are ‘uneven’ in their development, often resulting in social and emotional difficulties.
