Ghorepani Poon Hill treks is perfect for first time trekkers who want to experience the pleasure of walking in the mountain trails and see snow-clad mountains up-close but are still not ready to traverse rougher trails. The trek starts from Naya Pul, which is an hour drive from Pokhara and offers an easier route than Dhampus Phedi. The trail then passes through the villages of Birethanti, Hille, Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, Banthanti, and Nanggethani before reaching the village of Ghorepani. Ghorepani is situated at an altitude of 2285 meters. The upper part of Ghorepani is known as Ghorepani Deurali which is another place that treats your eye to panoramic view of the Annapurna mountains. After a night's rest at Ghorepani Deurali, the next view point is Poon Hill which is a forty minutes walk from Ghorepani. This will be the highest spot in the trek (3210 m) and many trekkers spend the night at the Ghorepani village before a pre-dawn trek to the top of Poon Hill, which offers the most exquisite view of the sunrise as it touches the snow-capped summits of Mt.Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt Annapurna (8091m) and a range of other mountain peaks that gradually appear before your eyes. Details Itinerary: Day 01: Upon arrival at Kathamndu airport, we will warmly welcome and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the time is free and evening group briefing at GAT office. Day 02: Kathmandu-Pokhara by bus 7hrs. 200KM (optional by Air 30 min). Tourist Bus leaves early morning from Kathamndu. It is a comfortable Tourist bus and goes through Prithivi highway into scenic valley along the Trisuli River where we make 3 hours white water rafting. 3. The personal items are of individual choice. The most important fact is depending on the year of your trekking days and region. In a supported trek like we offer, heavy items are carried by porters during the trek and personal belongings of the clients they may need for the day like money, water bottle, rain gear, camera, sun cream and toilet paper etc. should be carried by you. Termand condition (Company policy) 01. Refund No refund will be made for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of trip for any other else reason. Having paid full amount of any trip, you're entitled to incur refund in case if you want to cancel your trip. Still, cancellation charge is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. Supplement Charge On our holidays tour / trek packages, rooms are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to client who does not have another tour participant to share room with. 03. Incomplete Tour No refund will be made to clients who drop out from the journey regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary. 04. Amendment in Tour Cost We reserve the right to revise pricing rate posted at our website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc. But, we put forth effort to keep on the present rate. 05. Even if this doesn't fit your personal interest, all monies paid by you to our company will be refunded. But remember, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility. 06. Clients' Responsible A tour / trek guide who represents Global Adventure Trekking Company deserves all authority during your tours. If you commit any unlawful act, you are compelled to leave the tour. No refund will be made in such case. 07. Impact on your journey We put our every effort to ensure comfortable traveling of yours, but it is must to understand that what you might be accustomed to in the western affluent countries, the Himalayan countries can't afford such facilities. Weather is another factor that directly impact on your journey. Hence, patience in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before head is must to venture into journey. 08. Travel Insurance You must purchase comprehensive travel insurance package against medical, natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our esteemed clients. 09. Tour Amendment To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested. You're advised to stay in touch with us thus. But occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc. 10. Your personal belongings On any account, we're not answerable for any loss or damage of your luggage or property belonging to you even when shouldered by porters, ponies or vehicles. That means your personal possessions, luggage are at your risk at the times. 11. Papers & Documents All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We're not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents. 12. We therefore carry out our responsibility honestly & sincerely to ensure your holiday troublefree as well as you have desired. Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may be change under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot. 13. Flight Delay/Cancellation There is virtually possibility of flight delay or postponement for notorious weather in Himalayan regions which could be happened, in particular, in Everest region (Lukla), Jomsom, Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region etc. Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during odd season, you're highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to meet your accommodation and food costs yourself. 14. Group size GAT runs a trip in small group size. Our group size will be 10 to 15 pax per trip. If the numbers of client more than we 15 people then our tour leader has a full power to split in two groups with a guide.
