3
Background: Technology Demo
• A major goal of the Green-Food Pathway (GFP) Initiative is to develop an internationally acceptable green commodity flow system.
• This system requires a common Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Platform which can provide stakeholders along supply chain in consultation, training, planning, capacity building, monitoring, detection, testing, auditing, accreditation and certification.
4
Purpose: Technology Demo
• The purposes of this alliance technology demonstration project are: – to identify and study emerging technologies and
devices, such as RFID and wireless sensor network, that can used in the ICT Platform.
– to develop and demonstrate a Web-based Realtime Intelligent RFID and Sensor Data Acquisition, Monitoring and Exchange System can can be incorporated into the future ICT Platform.
