When the situation with COVID-19 began to impact our nation, ATMC joined other communication providers across the country in signing the FCC’s Keep Americans Connected Pledge. As part of the agreement, ATMC promised not to disconnect customers for past due payments and to not add additional penalties during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, to help support online learning while schools were closed, ATMC began offering 50 Mbps internet service at no cost for 60 days to households with students in Brunswick and Columbus County that did not already have a broadband subscription. “We have never experienced times like this,” said Keith Are you or someone in your household eligible for a Lifeline discount on your ATMC services? Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers the monthly cost of telephone or internet service for qualifying customers. If you currently receive help from the Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income, or if your income falls within program guidelines, then you may be eligible to receive a Lifeline discount. Once you’ve confirmed your eligibility, visit an ATMC retail location or call 910-754-4311 to enroll. Verification will be required to receive the discount.
