Risk assessment for all school activities in place. First aid equipment on site. First aid risk assessment in place. First aiders trained and lists in school. Due to low staffing ensure that first aider is on site at all times children and staff are present. New additional guidance on first aider and PPE required in certain circumstances can be found in the whole school generic phased return to school risk assessment. This highlights how to limit spread if symptoms are suspected.

M Staff administering first aid to wear PPE- visors, aprons and gloves (masks should also be worn if pupil is suspected of COVID symptoms). Staff to use medical room to administer none covid related first aid. During this staff not to enter through the first aid room to get to the photocopier as a smaller area. Pupils suspected of covid symptoms to have temperature taken and isolated into meeting room (ventilated). Pupils to use the identified toilet for this purpose also. Medical waste bin to be emptied by office staff in gloves and apron mid-day as well as end of day by cleaners. If a child has been treated with suspected Covid, PPE and thermometer piece used should be double bagged in medical waste bags. This must then be locked in Steve’s cupboard for 72 hours before being put into hazardous waste. It should have a sticker with a date on. Once this has occurred the science cupboard will be out of use.
