KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EACH OPERATING CENTRE AND FUNCTION WILL DESIGNATE A PERSON OR PERSONS WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:-

• ensuring that risk assessments are carried out for all work activities within their area of responsibility

• establishing and maintaining the ‘Risk Assessment Register’ N.B. for the Renfrew site this will be done by the Health ,Safety and Environment Adviser.

• EACH OPERATIONAL CENTRE WILL CARRY OUT THEIR RISK ASSESSMENTS USING THE PRINCIPLES AND PROCESS OUTLINED IN 5.3 AND 5.4 OF OP-10-01-030.

• RECORD THE RISK ASSESSMENT ON THE FORM DETAILED IN APPENDIX 3 OF THE PROCEDURE

(N.B. guidance on completion of this form is in Appendix 2)

• COMPLETE ‘ REGISTER OF RISK ASSESSMENT’ AS PER APPENDIX 1.

• ENSURE THAT THE RELEVANT RISK ASSESSMENT IS MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL CONCERNED PARTIES AND THAT CONTROL MEASURES ARE FULLY UNDERSTOOD.
