Dear Parents and Carers, First of all I wanted to thank all of the parents, carers, teachers, support staff and most of all the children for what has been another fantastic year in the life of Gaddesby Primary School. This year has been another incredibly busy year with a huge range of school trips across all year groups, lots of fantastic, well attended events in school (such as sports day and our music evening), and children working hard to improve and reach their targets. I would like to wish all of our leavers good luck for the next stage of their school lives and I hope that Gaddesby Primary School has given them a strong footing for future success. It is with a heavy heart that we see our year 6’s move on but I am certain that they are ready for secondary school and all of the exciting challenges ahead. I hope that all of the families in school have an enjoyable and relax- ing summer and that the children have lots of opportunity to enjoy the extended break. We return to school on August 29th when we will have a brand new class in foundation stage and a number of new pupils joining across the school. I look forward to seeing everyone on the morn- ing of the 29th August for what I am sure will be another exciting, challenging but most of all rewarding year. KS2 have been busy working on the play, Shakespeare Rocks. Their performances were on Tuesday 27th June and Wednesday 28th June. All the children tried their best and it was very funny and enjoyable. All of the parents who came to watch thought it was brilliant! Bridie, who played the role of William Shakespeare wife, said “My favourite part was showing it to all the parents.” Matilda, who played the role of one of the narrators (Al), said “I enjoyed acting and I liked helping make the props.” Thank-you to all in-volved: teachers, all of KS2 and parents for making the costumes and coming to watch. On the final day we did shelter

Year 6 Leavers
This time always rushes upon us and is a one of mixed emotions. Not only do the Year 6 reflect back on another successful year but they look back on their Primary school experience. Whether they have been at Gaddesby for only a few years, or for all seven, there will be many fond memories to cherish. Year 6 will be sharing these memories to their families on Friday the 14th of July at the leavers’ assembly. I’d like to wish them all the best in their future endeavours
