DETAILS The FBI, in coordination with the National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jackson Police Department seek assistance from anyone who utilized the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area between the dates of August 27-30, 2021, and who may have had contact with Gabrielle "Gabby" Petito or may have seen her vehicle. The Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area is located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest on the east boundary of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Ms. Petito was on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend visiting national parks in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. They were driving a white 2012 Ford Transit van with a variety of stickers on the back. The van is registered to Ms. Petito with Florida plate QFTG03. Ms. Petito was reported missing on September 11, 2021, and her remains were recovered near the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area on September 19, 2021. If you were in the vicinity of Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area, as identified in the map, during the timeframe of August 27-30, 2021, and saw Ms. Petito, her boyfriend, or Petito’s van, please provide that information to the FBI.
