Several orange fabric scraps Green fabric scraps for stem Red
Fabric scrap for heart 12 inch square of brown fabric for back
HeatnBond Lite HeatnBond Fusible Fleece Pumpkin Pattern Aurifil

Fall Pumpkin Potholder Pattern Instructions: 1/4″ seam
allowance
Start by cutting the orange fabrics in 1 1/2″ strips. Sew
together. On the top center, sew a 5″ x 6″, green piece on.
Trace the pumpkin stem on a piece of HeatnBond Lite. Iron on to
the piece of green fabric. Cut around the piece. Save back for a
bit. Position the pumpkin template as shown. Iron the fabric stem
onto the pumpkin, noting where the pumpkin body is.

Cut around the pumpkin body and fabric stem.
Double over your HeatnBond Fusible Fleece. Cut two fleece
pumpkin pieces, 1/4″ smaller than the fabric one. Fuse one to the
back of the pumpkin. Quilt with Aurifil 12 wt. thread. Use a longer
stitch when using this weight. Trace the heart on the HeatnBond
lite. Iron to the wrong side of the red fabric. Cut out the shape.
Iron heart to the desired location of the pumpkin.

Applique stitch around the heart and the bottom of the stem.
Place the pumpkin face down onto the right side of the back
fabric.
Cut out pumpkin back and pin together. Sew around the pumpkin,
leaving a 3-inch opening. Iron on the second piece of your
HeatnBond Fusible Fleece to the back of your pumpkin. Clip corner
around the pumpkin. Turn right side out and topstitch all the way
around your pumpkin, securing your opening.
