Page 1 Fundamentals in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nursing 04/12/2021, 11/12/2021, 18/12/2021 (09:00 – 17:30) & 08/01/2022 (9:00-10:00) Organized by Institute of Advanced Nursing Studies and Conducted by New Territories West Cluster The Nursing Council of Hong Kong has approved the Hospital Authority as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) since December 2005 Course Information This course is the Fundamental Module of the Post-registration Certificate Course in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nursing (04.12.2021 – 03.09.2022). Nurses who have been nominated to the full course of PRCC in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nursing are not required to enroll in this module. AIM This course focuses on the foundation concepts on gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing. The aim of the course is to enhance nurses’ skill and knowledge in caring patients with common gastro-intestinal disorders or interventions. PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (PILOS) Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to: 1. Understand the applied physiology of the gastrointestinal tract 2. Recognize common gastro-intestinal problems 3. Acquire up-to-date knowledge in the management of patient suffering from gastrointestinal diseases 4. Participate in the management of patients requiring endoscopic interventions. On the Examination Day:
1. Join the Zoom meeting at least 15 mins before the examination starts
2. Mark your name as instructed for registration (eg. using your participant no., full name, hospital and title when joining the e-Quiz)
3. Turn on video mode to show your face throughout the examination (no virtual background is allowed)
4. Open the e-Quiz URL / scan the QR Code as provided by the invigilator
5. Input your HA internet email address on Google form as your identification
6. Read the instructions for the examination as shown in the Google form
7. The password of the e-Quiz will be announced by the invigilator via Zoom and also provided via ‘chat function’ in Zoom
8. Start working on the e-Quiz once you have unlocked the examination paper with the provided password
9. Answer all questions in the examination paper
10. Submit the e-Quiz before the allowed time of the examination. (Only first submission will be marked, NO late submission)
