From The East

My Brothers;

We have received the contract for the Dyer Rd. property. Mr. Michael Geraghty DVM would like to close in November. The Contract has been looked over by me and each of the other property committee members .We found it to be acceptable to all. We will contact Mr. Geraghty soon to move forward with the agreement. I have set up a Committee to receive sugges-tions from the Craft on what we should use this money for. I would like to thank the brothers that came out to help with the clean-up of some of our Lodge property after the storm. There is still more work to be done there. We could have another clean-up on a Saturday this month and I think that OUR Lodge will be back to normal. Now to the month’s doings: Degree practice will continue every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, come out and help! The Grand Masters Official Visit will be on Oct. 6 at the Martin Coun-ty Fair Grounds, with registration at 5:30, dinner at 6:30 and tiled meeting at 7:30 at Acacia Lodge. Master and Wardens will be at Moore Haven on October 28,”maybe”! I’m thinking of having another “OPEN LODGE FAMILY NIGHT” like the last one in June (Covered Dish Dinner) with all of the Brothers and their families. We had a good time at the last one and I hope the same will be so for this one. I would like to do a “Toy Drive” for the Salvation Army’s Christmas party. They do a wonderful job in our area. I’m sure they would welcome any help we could give them. Remember this is part of our “obligation to help where we can.

permanent Endowment Fund. Interest is used to pay Your Lodge Dues forever, even after death. NO future dues increases. You will no longer be
