in Oxygen Enriched Atmospheres
• Typical Specimen– Hollow cylinders 2.5 cm OD and 2.0 cm ID
• Ignition Source– Frictional heating
• Test Conditions– Max rotation is 30,000 RPM– Max load is 5000 N – Worst-case pressure, temp, and oxygen
concentration• Ranking Criteria
– The resistance of metals to ignition is measured as the product of the contact pressure and the average linear velocity or Pv product required for ignition
