*How do I get my marriage license?

-Marriage licenses are issued by appointment only through the County of San Diego. Both

parties must be present with photo ID. Licenses are valid for 90 days.

Call 619-237-0502 between 8:00am to 4:00pm (M-F) to schedule your appointment.

*Can I bring my own wedding cake?

-Yes, we will charge a cake cutting fee of $3.00 per guest.

*Can I bring my own minster?

-Yes, and we will discount your ceremony fee by $100.

*Can I meet the captain prior to my wedding day?

-No, we have several licensed captain’s that perform weddings, but unfortunately we will

not know who is assigned to your event until a couple of days before hand.

*Can I have a rehearsal on board?

-Yes, we do offer a 1 hour rehearsal. Typically they will take place the day prior to your

wedding.

*What duties will my scheduled “Day of” wedding coordinator be in charge of?

-She will be in charge of the staff, vendors, and wedding set up such as putting out party

favors, place cards, as well as assisting you and the wedding party down the aisle and

making sure your prepared timeline is completed.

*Can I bring my own décor?

-Yes. Please note, we do not allow any open flames unless they are floating candles. We also

don’t allow confetti, sparklers, or glitter. Rose Petals are acceptable if used sparingly.

*Can I bring my own vendors?

-Yes, please insure that they are familiar with our yachts, and are prepared for a working

environment on a non-land venue.

The number of tiers in your wedding cake is dependent on your guest count. Please refer to the bakery for suggested sizing. Minimum cake size feeds 40 guests.

Captain’s Ceremony Packages

Who hasn’t dreamed of running off to sea and being married by the Captain? Flagship will be delighted to make this come true for you! Ceremonies include chapel style set-up of white chairs, white aisle runner, ceremony rehearsal prior to wedding date, on-board wedding coordinator and of course your own licensed captain to perform the ceremony. Informal standing ceremony includes the aisle runner and captain’s ceremony, leaving room and leisure for your guests to mingle and view the bay during your cruise.

What is the correct order for the attendants in the processional? There are many variations to the processional, we have only given you one.

* If you have a big wedding party your groomsmen and bridesmaids can walk in pairs

What is the order of the recessional?

* If you have an attendant without a partner they walk alone

What do I do with my engagement ring?

Before the ceremony put your engagement ring on your right hand After the groom puts your wedding band on, you can slip on your engagement ring

* Your wedding band should be worn first so that it's closer to your heart

When do I give my bouquet to my maid of honor?

After your father has kissed you and your maid of honor fixes your veil, you can hand her your bouquet. Your maid of honor will bring your bouquet up to the altar with her when your marriage certificate is being signed and will hand it over to you after you have finished signing. Remember to place your bouquet with the heads of the flowers outwards for the photographer.

Who sits in reserved seats and how can I reserve seats? Reserved seats are for immediate family and anyone else that is important to you. These

seats are up front...best seats in the house Use bows, decorations or rope off the seats/pews that are reserved Let your ushers know who will be sitting in the reserved sections.

* You can also send “Within the Ribbon” cards. These are little cards sent with the invitation to your VIP guests that will be seated up front. These guests will bring this card and show it to your ushers.
