Free Eyesight Test ZIN - 000000 Group

"FREE EYESIGHT TEST" ZINE Free eyesight test is an editorial and artistic action organised by #000000 Art Group under the Malta Festival. Its purpose wa to create a unique artistic newspaper based, a so called ZIN, on the rules of an Open Call. We’ wanted to invite everybody to send us their own creative response to the topic of shortsightedness. The topic could be interpreted primarily as an subjective way of filtering and sharing information – unconscious or purposeful closing eyes – marginalization through not noticing. This problem concerns personal issues as well as social and institutional affairs. Distribution and the visual side of the ZIN was corresponding to the standards of the street newspaper aestethics, which is being given to us everyday in the city’s most important places.
