Meet Chef Gilles Stassart
Speaker: Chef Gilles Stassart, CEC, CCA
Sr. Corporate Chef, General Mills Foodservice
At General Mills Foodservice, Chef Gilles puts his extensive background
in healthcare foodservice, banquets, hotels, fine dining and in-home
catering to task. Since joining the company in 2013, he has offered
support, training and inspiration to major food management companies
as well as operators within hospitals and senior living facilities.
Gilles has held various positions at Michelin recognized fine dining
restaurants and hotels in Belgium, worked for the prestigious
Minneapolis Club, The Marquette Hotel, and later joined the French
food management company Sodexo as an Executive Chef for a large
network of healthcare facilities.
Gilles has a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Hotel/Restaurant
Management from EHPN in Namur, Belgium. He is a Certified Culinary
Administrator, a Certified Executive Chef, an Approve Certification
Evaluator and is a Supervisory Manager in nutrition, food
safety/sanitation continuing education certificates.
