– Influence others and have a voice in publicly sponsored initiatives (Emirates Foundation)
– Encourage cooperation between the public and the private sector (EAD).
– Prioritize and focus on three material issues (ADNOC, Aldar).
– Involve the champions who have knowledge and experience on the key issues to lead initiatives (EAD).
Advocacy Flagship programs
All flagship programs respond to these expectations: Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable ICT, Labour Practices and Decent Work and Waste Management.
– Set targets and actions focused on material issues for AD, i.e. reducing the ecological footprint (Aramex).
– Identify and focus on low hanging fruits, quick wins consistent with AD maturity level, i.e. waste management (Masdar).
– Propose common targets in collaboration with champions i.e. Center for Waste Management and measure and communicate achievements through sustainability reports (EAD).
Advocacy Flagship programs
Waste management (this program may be transformed into an “Eco-efficiency program” that would also include energy and water issues to respond better to expectations regarding reducing AD ecological footprint)
