The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is an

amusement park in the Nantou County of Taiwan. It

is distinctive for its Formosan aboriginal culture

theme. The park is composed of three main themed

areas: the amusement park "Amusement Isle", an

activities area "Aboriginal Village Park", and a

European garden.

Tucked amongst shade

trees, between the

European Gardens and the

Aboriginal Village Park, is

a haven for seekers of

thrills and pure fun.

AMUSEMENT ISLE

For the most adventurous, may we

recommend the UFO Gyro Drop,

Mayan Adventure roller coaster, the

Gold Mine Adventure, or perhaps,

Future World. For the younger and

less adventurous, we offer many rides

and attractions, including Aladdin

Pavilion and Culture Square.

Amusement Isle has enough to keep

visitors of all age groups happy for

hours on end.

EUROPEAN GARDEN

The European Garden is

the largest European

garden in Taiwan. Notable

features are the gothic

clock tower, the roman

The garden itself has

Aboriginal style patterns.

The Cherry Blossom Festival

in the Village February is when cherry blossoms are in full

bloom and the more than 3000 重瓣山櫻花

(Multiple Petals Flowering Cherry) in the

Village dance with wind. They make the

mountains red and display their shyness in

the spring wind.

MOVEMENT of CHERRY

BLOSSOM

Page 12: Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village

In every February, the

Cherry Blossom Festival

has become one of the most

important cherry blossom

viewing activities in

Taiwan.

The cherry in the Village is

重瓣緋寒櫻 (Multiple

Petals Taiwan Cherry), also

named 牡丹櫻 (Peony

Cherry). With the full color,

the cherry usually makes

the trees scarlet when in

full blossom.

The road becomes the beautiful cherry

path. Walking through the pace during

the time of cherry blossom viewing,

gently touched by the spring wind and

petals of the cherry flowers, one

always gets a feeling of happiness.

What is the most special is to

view the cheery blossom at night.

The flowers are worn romantic

and colorful dresses. The Village

uses a technique called “light

carving” and an anfractuous path

is created by lights with different

brightness and colors. It not only

makes viewing cheery blossom at

night possible, but also presents

another wonderful performance

combined with lights and sounds

and leads the visitors to a mystic

world.
