The children performed exceponally well against a field of very strong runners. Braydie placed 60th and Vivaan 73rd. Non-Uniform Day Thank you to everyone that donated to our non-uniform day we raised just over £300 for our Voice in a Million choir to sing at Wembley on the 18th March. Year 3/4 Gymnascs Well done to our year 3 and 4 beginner gymnascs team who finished 5th in the recent district event. Children had to complete a set roune of moves on which they were judged. In the end just 0.8 points separated the 2nd place and 5th placed team. Falconry Experience Children from across KS2 all had the chance to hold a bird of prey as part of a falconry experience. Wye Valley Falconry held a workshop for each junior class where the children got to see a range of birds of prey close up and learned about the birds and their adaptaons which make them suited to being predators. Responsible Parking The school connues to receive complaints from local residents about parents parking irresponsibly or park- ing across their driveways prevenng them from ac- cessing their properes. Although we appreciate that many are parking for short periods of me for drop-off and collecon this does have an impact on local resi- dents if parking is blocking driveways or obstrucng local roads. Smoking A reminder that Forest View Primary School is a non- smoking site. This means that smoking and vaping are not permied anywhere on the school grounds. This includes in the school carparks and along all site paths. In line with the latest government advice following the Coronavirus outbreak children across the school have been having refresher lessons on how to wash their hands properly and how to catch their sneezes. The chance of coming into contact with the virus in the UK remains low. Nevertheless it is important for all parents to reinforce correct handwashing and sneezing procedures at home as a deterrent to catching and spreading a whole range of illnesses.
