Toyota Industries Corporation was founded in 28 August 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda.Toyota's management philosophy has evolved from the company's origins and has been reflected in the terms "Lean Manufacturing" and Just In Time Production.
Toyota was established on 1924 By Sakichi Toyoda father of Kiichiro when he invented Toyoda Model G Automatic Loom , Company faces a financial crisis thus Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. is established.
MISSION:
Toyota deliver outstanding automotive products and services to their customers, and enrich their community, partners and environment.
In 2008, Toyota's sales surpassed General Motors, making Toyota number one in the world
FORD
The fourth-largest automotive company in the world in terms of sales .They sell cars on six different continent.they have car brands such as :
• Ford
• Mercury
• Volvo
• Lincoln
Their main countries are North America, Europe, Middle East, Central & South America, Asia Pacific .
They have competitors like General Motors, Chrysler, Toyota USA, Nissan
The reasons for the gap between the development of the brand in the U.S. and Europe:
High Labor cost in U.S.
Strong trade unions in the U.S. (high pension commitments)
Strong economic growth in lower combustion cars .
TOYOTA
It conducts its business worldwide . Toyota’s vehicles are sold in more than 170 countries and regions . It employs approximately 320,808 people worldwide.
It was the first time in three years the Japanese maker topped the list. Than its traditional competitors such as
 Honda
 General Motors
 Ford
 Chrysle

The biggest carmaker in the world in 2009 (more than 7.5 million cars).
Main markets are Japan and North America, but recently we can see a strong growth in Asian and South America markets .
Changes in exchange rates reflect very strongly on company results
 change in the dollar-yen exchange rate of 1% will change revenues by about $42 million
Toyota has three brands:
• Toyota
• Lexus
• Scion .
