ENW is going to be a little bit 1: _______ at the beginning of this week’s podcast, we are going to start with a question about money. How much do you have in your purse or wallet right now? We ask not to find out if you can lend ENW some cash, although 2: _______ are always grateful, but because this week’s podcast topic is about banknotes. This is all down to the small Pacific Island nation of Fiji who has a unique banknote.

Fiji has issued a $7 banknote, which at first seems an odd number to put on any currency note. Any ideas as to why the Fijian government chose the number seven? We can give you another 3: _______ – the Olympics. Well, in case you couldn’t get the answer the special $7 banknote which will be legal tender in the country is in 4: _______ of Fiji’s first ever Olympic Gold medal which they won at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. So why number 7? It is because the sport in which the Fijian athletes won the country’s first gold medal was the rugby 7s. Rugby is Fiji’s national sport, and the shorter 5: _______ of the 15-man game is a sport that their players excel at. Since the first Rugby 7s World Cup in Scotland in 1997, the Fijians have twice been world champions, and three times finished third – with a 6: _______ of just 916,000.
4 After the Fijian Men’s Rugby team thrashed Great Britain 43-7 to win the Gold Medal the government decided the best way to 7: _______ the victory was to immortalise the team on the country’s money. Two million $7 banknotes have been printed with a photo of the whole squad after receiving their medals. On the front side of the 8: _______ is a picture of a Fijian rugby player in full kit and Ben Ryan - their coach who is actually from England, sitting on a beach.
