Browne and Elizabeth, his wife. In 1911 he was electrician
inspector in Barton-upon-Irwell. Left England for Buenos Aires by
Araguaya 09/06/1911; arrived back in England on 11/11/1914 by
Desna. After demobilisation returned to his railway job at Rosario;
but died of his wounds at Hospicio de las Mercedes, Buenos Aires
Commemorated on the Central Argentine Railway Memorial that was at
Retiro Sation but is now in the British Cemetery in Chacarita.

Central Argentine Railway.
POW died of wounds 24th June 1918 (age 21). His Bristol Fighter
(B1122) was shot down by a German Albatross and in the crash he
suffered severe injuries to his nose; both he and his observer Lt
Finney were taken prisoner. Due to his badly cured injuries he
contracted gangrene in his nose, so the Germans decided to ship him
and Finney back to Berlin, but the trip was too much given his
condition and he died in a hospital near Berlin. The Germans buried
him with full military honours at Stahnsdorf Cemetery. Son of
Robert and Abbie Colvill-Jones, of Cangallo 456, Buenos Aires,
Argentine. His brother Robert Colvill-Jones, M.C. also fell. Both
lived in Hurlingham. Member of the Villa Devoto Lawn Tennis Club.
