Emerge JV/EmergeLectio Divina. We live in a fast paced world, and our time with God seems to be no exception. This next series, “Lectio Divina” is going to help students slow down and discover the art of listening, meditation, prayer, and contemplation. We will see a student ministry that is fervently praying.

1. Purpose to interact more – Start by generating conversations along the way, in the car or in the grocery store, at an appointment2. Make it a priority to have dinner together – Try to have dinner at the same time at least a couple of times a week 3. Develop a family night – Start with whatever they like to do and morph into spiritual conversations – Jesus said we would be fishers of men4. Go through your journals together one evening a week – Use your youngest child as the platform for discussion5. Eventually spend time each night talking about your journal readings as a family NOTE: The television is a great distraction but you have to turn it off nightly to make time for interaction.
