In the beginning before time, before people, before the world began, God was. Here and now among us, beside us, enlisting the people of earth for the purposes of heaven, God is. HYMN 189 - O Wondrous Sight, O Vision Fair DEO GRACIAS PRAYER OF CONFESSION (in silence) ASSURANCE OF GOD’S MERCY

Because you made the world, and intended it to be a good place, and called its people your children; because, when things seemed at their worst, you came in Christ to bring out the best in us; so gracious God, we gladly say: Goodness is stronger than evil, love is stronger than hate, light is stronger than darkness, truth is stronger than lies.

RESPONSE OF PRAISE: Hymn 624 - I Greet Thee, Who My Sure Redeemer Art TOULON

LENTEN CIRCLE & DINNERS Our church is just big enough that you can float without making meaningful connections or finding the kind of deeper relationships for which most of us hunger. Our small groups in Lent, called Covenant Circles, are designed to bring people together. There’s something for everyone in this year’s line-up—painting, yoga, pilgrimage, film, opera, and graffiti. If you’ve been wanting to connect with new faces and have a little fun, these four Wednesday nights in March (8, 15, 22, 29) are the perfect opportunity. Circles are from 7:00-8:15 pm. There’s also a community meal on these evenings at 6:00 pm, catered by the Light House Bistro, a social enterprise developed to break the cycle of homelessness. Join us on Wednesday evenings in Lent. We look forward to seeing you. For full circle & menu descriptions, go online: www.annapolis-presbyterian.com. Registration deadline: Wednesday, March 1.
