Finding statistics.A key feature of the database are the statistical series..The most effective way to search and browse datasets is to choose the statistics tab fromthe homepage.This offers a page with 3 columns: Databases, key tables and books. The most detailedinformation can be selected from the databases option. Key tables are frequently requesteditems. Books are the full text annual publications.For access to the most detailed data choose the OECD.STAT option from the top of the databasescolumn. This allows you to search widely and generate your own tables for downloadinginto EXCEL. Click on OECD.STAT then click on the mauve data symbol.

 Select a theme from the left hand column. Each of the topics contains a number of tables

within them. All can be customised. Select general statistics for country profiles. Most are oecd countries.

You can save datasets by creating your own personal account. Choose the log in buttonfrom the from oecd.stat page and register.The red change data selection enables you to customise. Click on the options you wish tochange. In this case they include countries, years and industry. Then click view dataReshape your table using "pivot dimensions" to move rows and columns. This optionappears on the row beneath the change data selection.Export to excel.This option appears on the row belowSave query to save the file in your account

Suggested Task.

Development ODA by sector. Look for health.

Can you log in and create a table for the amount EU donors gave for water supply and sanitation / reproductive health

Tip register and log in. then Choose the option change data selection. Alter the years and recipients.

Click on the chart and find different ways to explore the data.
