Outline/outcomeWe are starting with one of our short films that we have already produced in our spare-time. We are looking to expand on this short film to give it a much deeper meaning and a more complex immerse storyline. Our film will have an Urban lifestyle theme and will include a lot cultural aspects of adolescences of our generation. It will be revolved around a group of friends however they wont stay friends due to a betrayal that will take place. it may also include other characters that could contribute to the betrayal. The outcome will be a 5 to 10 minute film.The controlling idea of our film will be betrayal. It could be one major betrayal or several betrayals with an equal overall impact. we are still in the developing stages of how we are going to depict the betrayal that takes place.In order to avoid clich we plan on including an additional aspect that will separate our film from other urban films such as Kidulthood and Adulthood. This could be an addition genre such as horror, romance or crime.

ResearchThe main subjects we need to research are: Different ways that films depict betrayal. How? Watching a analysing films/TV episodes that include betrayal such as

Other sub genres that we can include in our urban film.How? We can watch and analysis films with double genres and how they combine and depict both.

Primary research: Recorded interviews on peoples opinions on betrayal and their own examples.
